The terrific twos (21-35 months). Children can now talk more, move with greater ease and investigate a larger world in greater depth. Curious and busy, toddlers can assemble puzzles and participate in activities using their bodies. Repetition of activities helps improve their skills and self-confidence. Parent discussion topics may include the toddlers rapid physical and language development. Parents will learn ways to encourage independence and set reasonable limits. Bedime, toilet training, separation anxiety and temper tantrums are also concerns. Class size is approximately 10-12 children and their parents.

Preschoolers (3-5 years). Social and eager to learn at this age, friends sometimes replace parents as partners in activities. Imagination is a key word. Children love to experiement with roles through pretend play. Painting at the easel and other creative art activities are fun. Children are encouraged to develop thinking skills by making choices in the classroom. ECFE has both separating and non-separating classes for parents and their children. Class size is approximately 12-14 children and their parents.

3- and 6-week registrations can be submitted now but will be wait listed until Monday November 16, 2009.  After that they will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Any 13-week class registration can be submitted now but will be wait listed until after the random draw,  Tuesday December 1, 2009. An e-mail confirmation will be sent once you are confirmed in the class.  All classes are accepted first-come, first-served after the random draw.  For more information or assistance, please call 763-504-4170.

Families who are attending a Semester 1, 13-week class, will be given priority for the same class for Semester 2.  The office staff will enter your registration for Semester 2.
