ECFE is a community Education program of the Robbinsdale Area Schools. The program provides quality learning opportunities and resources for parents and their children from birth up to kindergarten.

A typical ECFE class includes parent discussion facilitated by a a licensed parent educator while children spend time participating in age-appropriate activities led by a licensed childrens teacher. In some 6-week classes parent and child spend the entire time learning together. Classes for 16-20 months and younger do not separate parents from their children.

Quality educational child care is provided on site for a small fee for siblings not enrolled in classes.

ECFE operates on a sliding fee scale; fee assistance is available.

Other ECFE services include a family litercy program, home visits and consultation with a licensed parent educator, and family resources and support at the Resource and Welcome Center.
